We’re excited to announce the names of the four startups we’ll be supporting in Southern Africa through the HiiL Justice Accelerator. The four exciting innovators are part of a global cohort of 18 organisations who will receive EUR 10 000 funding and business development support.
The selection process was based on applications to the HiiL Innovating Justice Challenge, and included a week of intensive “Bootcamp” workshops for six regional finalists, and a pitching session in which they demonstrated their work to an international audience of justice experts. We were honoured to be joined by the Deputy Minister of Justice and Constitutional Development, Mr John Jeffery, and the Ambassador of Netherlands to South Africa, Mr Han Peters at our local event. Mr Jeffery’s words about the need for justice innovation being highlighted by Covid-19 resonated deeply.
Please join us in congratulating and welcoming the new cohort of innovators and entrepreneurs into the Justice Accelerator program for 2021.
