We’re delighted to say that the HiiL Innovation Fast Track (IFT) programme in the Southern Africa has been completed, and we couldn’t be happier with the results.
The IFT is based on successful startup incubation programmes and is designed to help early start innovations get off the ground and grow, ideally to a point at which they are candidates for the HiiL Justice Accelerator. It lasts for six weeks, and takes in topics such as empathetic design, lean analytics, sales planning and more.
For our first programme in Southern Africa, we worked with seven innovations: Bua, Legal Ascend, CASA, Eye, The Bail Project, Legal Fundi and Funga Tech. Their work ranges from direct support for victims of gender-based violence to access to information for small businesses.
Not everyone made it to the end of the programme, but congratulations to all who took part, and we trust you will use the robust learnings from the workshops as building blocks for the future. We’re really hoping to see some of these in the HiiL Justice Accelerator in months to come.
